Follow carpet manufacturer's recommendations.
• Fully cured concrete (on, above, or below grade) which is free
from hydrostatic pressure and moisture vapor emissions
• Exterior grade plywood
Freeze/thaw stable to 10°F (-12°C). If frozen, slowly bring to room
temperature and stir before using.
Maximum of 18 months from date of manufacture in unopened container.
|Open Time||20-30 min at 75 degree F/ 50% RH|
|Final Cure||24-49 hrs|
|VOC/Liter of Material||0 grams (calculated)|
Surface must be sound, smooth, clean and dry. Any cracks and depressions must be patched using a cementitious patching compound. Ensure that the surface is free of waterproofing compounds, sealers,
curing agents, oil, grease, wax, adhesive residue or any other contaminant that may impede adhesion.
All concrete substrates must be tested for moisture and pH prior to flooring installation. The industry standard methods for testing moisture are ASTM F-2170 (RH) or ASTM F-1869 (Calcium Chloride-
MVER). Consult floor covering manufacturer for acceptable RH or MVER. Test for pH in accordance with ASTM F-710. pH range of 7-9 is required. Moisture vapor emissions not to exceed 3 lbs./ 1000 ft2/24 hours (0.015 kg/m2/24 hours).
IMPORTANT: Refer to flooring manufacturer’s installation guidelines for proper application instructions, including trowel size and approximate coverage. Lack of adhesive due to improper trowel size can contribute to bond failure / inadequate bond. Apply only the amount of adhesive that can be covered in 20 minutes. Direct sunlight accelerates adhesive drying time and can minimize the adhesive transfer to carpet backing. After installing, roll the carpet in both directions. A minimum temperature of 50°F (10°C) must be maintained for 48 hours before, during and after installation. Restrict heavy foot traffic or rolling loads for at least 72 hours.
20-30 minutes (depending on temperature, humidity, and porosity of substrate). DO NOT ALLOW ADHESIVE TO SKIN OVER. Should skin over occur, scrape up and reapply.
Clean up wet tools with soap and water. Use mineral spirits for dried adhesive residue, carefully following warnings on container.
